There’s marvellous news from extraordinaire pianist and all-round talented multi-instrumentalist and producer Chilly Gonzales. After having had his 2010 album, Ivory Tower, produced by Boys Noize, Gonzales is again teaming up with the Berlin based producer. Comes September, the pair will release their debut collaborative album under the moniker Octave Minds. Good news always come adorned with sounds so here’s the first beautiful cut, ‘In Silence’, to entice you.
As previously posted, self-proclaimed musical genius Chilly Gonzales is set to release Solo Piano II, his new album of solo piano compositions, on August 28th via Arts & Crafts.
A new beautiful piano ballad off the forthcoming album has just been unveiled and you can see him playing it here, part of his ‘Pianovision’ video series.

Chilly Gonzales has announced the release date for his new album of solo piano compositions entitled Solo Piano II.
Gonzales moved his piano to Studio Pigalle in Paris and in just ten days he recorded the album’s fourteen tracks, short listed from about a hundred melodies written since his 2006 ‘s Solo Piano.
As explained in the press release, “hour upon hour, the purest and most microscopic process of recording took place. Chilly Gonzales played all the songs over and over and over again, until each one’s essence had been captured”
Solo Piano II will be released on August 28th via Arts & Crafts.
