Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares unleash video for new single ‘Pora Sotunda’ featuring Lisa Gerrard

2018 will see the release of a new album from Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares, the renowned and bewitching Bulgarian female choir formed in 1952 as The Bulgarian State Television Female Vocal Choir. Preceding the album, the ensemble released their first single ‘Pora Sotunda’ earlier this month as a limited edition 7″. ‘Pora Sotunda’ features Dead Can Dance’s Lisa Gerrard and it marks their first new material in over 20 years. The single has also been paired with a befittingly stunning video. Watch it below.

Le Guess Who?’s Who 2017: Julianna Barwick

There’s just over one week to go before Le Guess Who? takes over Utrecht. With over 150 artists set to perform, how do we make sense of such a monumental line-up? We made a list of the artists we’re most excited to see and asked them for their recommendations.

Julianna Barwick’s celestial soundscapes are flush with emotional and sonic depth. Known for her ethereal and immersive loop-based compositions, Barwick’s mesmerizing songwriting is deeply inspired by her church choir upbringing in Louisiana and Missouri. Needless to say we can’t wait to see her perform at Le Guess Who?, and we asked her which bands she’s most looking forward to.

Have a look at their recommendations for the festival, with a few words from the band.

“First of all, it’s very rare, and we are very happy to be invited to play at a festival with such a quality line up. Picking acts was no easy task…”
