Excellent and explosive horn and drums trio Moon Hooch have premiered a video for ‘Rough Sex’, taken from last year’s album Red Sky. Directed by Lucas McGowen, the video references earlier days when the band would put on impromptu incendiary shows at New York’s underground stations, some leading to them being banned from playing in certain stops. “Our performances really take on a life of their own and we feed off of a shared energy with our audience every night”, explained saxophonist Mike Wilbur. “This video shows that energy and the unstoppable force that it is.”
Here’s the video for ‘Rough Sex’. Watch and dance.

Moon Hooch have spent most of the year on the road and there’s no stopping them. And good thing too as they are set to return to Europe next month for a string of live dates, including a show at London Jazz Festival on November 16th.
