Berlin-based pianist Nils Frahm has unveiled a stunning animated video for the delicate and delightful track ‘Re’, taken from his 2012 album Screws. When composing and recording Screws, Frahm used only nine fingers as his thumb was in a cast from an accident he had suffered. Hungarian director Balazs Simon draw inspiration from this to create the video.
“When I first heard Nils’ new album ‘Screws’ I instantly fell in love with it – not only because of the music, but also because of it’s backstory. Listening to ‘Re’ planted a story and a world in my head, so I decided to create a music video for it.”

The exquisitely talented composer, pianist and producer Nils Frahm has unleashed a befittingly stunning visual accompaniment to ‘Says’, a standout track from his recently released live album Spaces. The video was created by visual artists Romain Assénat and Ana Silva improvising on the spot with inks on glass and a video-feedback device without any post-production. Watch it below.
Spaces is out now via Erased Tapes.
