Ombre share new single days before debut album arrives

Just over a month ago, we got introduced to Ombre, the new collaborative outfit of Julianna Barwick and Helado Negro.
They had released ‘Cara Falsa’, the gorgeous and hypnotic first taste off their debut album, Believe You Me.

‘Cara Falsa’, led by Barwick’s ethereal vocals, is now followed by a dazzling new single, ‘Vistate’, where Helado Negro takes the lead on the vocals.

We are in for a treat with Ombre’s debut album and there’s only a few days to go till it drops on August 21st via Asthmatic Kitty.
Here’s ‘Vistate’.

Ombre tease debut album with first single

Julianna Barwick and Helado Negro first met back in 2010 when they toured together. After that, they started to further their friendship, ended up working together and a new band was born, called Ombre.

“We really had no clue what we were going to make and we would just throw things out there and record.” said Helado Negro about their collaboration. “The majority of it took place at my personal studio, Island Universe Space. We would just jam or record vocal ideas or whatever; it was all just organic and at the same time we were getting to know each other even more as friends.”

Out of the new friendship and joint efforts, a debut full-length album, Believe You Me, is on the way.  It will be released on August 21st via Asthmatic Kitty.

Ombre have already shared the first single off Believe You Me, the ambrosial ‘Cara Falsa’. Here it is.
