June is upon us, and with a new month comes a very special batch of tunes picked by one of our favourite bands, Piano Interrupted. The London based duo-turned-quartet enticed us with their lush cinematic soundscapes blending beguilingly classical arrangements and electronics. They spontaneously brought an interesting twist to our mixtape by presenting the tracks in a chronological order, from the oldest to the most recent. So strap yourself in for a journey through time and music.
With Christmas just around the corner, there is plenty of new appropriate festive music for this jolly season. British electronic contemporary composer Anna Meredith is offering ‘Winter Wonderland’ as her yuletide gift. ‘Winter Wonderland’ is a rollicking track, “guaranteed to confuse and irritate all your family on Christmas Day!”, as Anna puts it herself. Last month we heard the tremendous first cut from Anna Meredith´s forthcoming second EP Jet Black Raider. To whet our appetite some more, the British electronic contemporary composer has just unveiled another brilliant track off the EP called ‘Bubble Gun’.
Jet Black Raider will be available on vinyl and digitally on August 19th via Moshi Moshi Records in Europe and Lefse Records is putting it out in America as a double release also including her debut EP Black Prince Fury.

‘Orlok’ is the brand new track from Anna Meredith and it serves as one hell of great taster for her upcoming second EP Jet Black Raider. After weeks of recording glocks, drums, clarinets, cellos and vocals, as Anna said, the follow-up to her outstanding debut EP Black Prince Fury arrives on August 19th via Moshi Moshi Records. The EP will be available on limited edition 12″ vinyl and digitally.

Nearly a month ago, British contemporary composer Anna Meredith released her debut EP, Black Prince Fury, via Moshi Moshi Records.
Preceding the release, and as we reported here, Anna shared the second taste off it, the utterly amazing ‘Never Wonder’. The track has just been complimented with a video directed by UpstartThunder. Watch it below.

Anna humorously chucks in a sample of Jennifer Rush’s classic ballad ‘The Power of Love’ right in the middle of ‘Never Wonder’.
