Royal Canoe rework Efterklang’s ‘Between The Walls’
We’ve long been fans of Canadian sextet Royal Canoe. And we’ve long been fans of Danish trio Efterklang. The two bands crossed paths this last summer whilst playing in some of the same European festivals and Royal Canoe offered to rework one of Efterklang’s songs. The result is a dazzling and inspired remix of ‘Between The Walls’. The original track is featured on Efterklang’s fourth album Piramida, released last year.
In other related news, Royal Canoe are on the final leg of their European tour, which wraps in Manchester this Saturday November 16th. Go to see them live if you can, you’re in for one hell of a treat!

We've fallen for Winnipeg's six-piece ensemble Royal Canoe and their unique rhythm, joyful tunes and energetic live performance a long time ago. Royal Canoe premiere video for single ‘Bathtubs’
Royal Canoe have released a video for their jubilant and luscious single ‘Bathtubs. ‘Bathtubs’ appears on the sextet’s much anticipated debut album Today We’re Believers, due out on September 4th via Roll Call Records in the US, Nevado Records in Canada and Nettwerk in the UK.
Directed by Nathan Booey, the clip falls in line with the band’s incredible and quirky sense of pop composition. Watch it here.
Royal Canoe share new single ahead of debut album release
As previously reported, Winnipeg sextet Royal Canoe are set to release their debut full-length album in just over a month. Today We’re Believers will see the light of day on June 25th via Roll Call Records in the US, Nevado Records in Canada and Nettwerk in the UK.
Their brand new luscious single ‘Bathtubs’ is now streaming, be sure to check it out below.

Royal Canoe announce release of Extensive Play 10″ EP, followed by new full-length album
We first heard and loved Winnipeg natives Royal Canoe last year, when they released the EP Purple and Gold.
They dropped another EP last year, Extended Play, which is now being released physically for the first time on 10″ vinyl. Head over to Royal Canoe’s bandcamp where you can grab a free download of the EP’s irresistible lead track ‘Hold on to The Metal’. Slated for a May 13th release, Extended Play will be followed by a full-length album entitled Today We’re Believers. The album will drop on June 25th via Roll Call Records in the US, Nevado Records in Canada and Nettwerk in the UK.
The sextet have just finished a string of North-American dates, and they are heading to Europe in less than two weeks. Check all their stops here.
