\"Jherek<\/a>The immensely talented multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer Jherek Bischoff<\/a> conquered our ears in 2012 with his magnificent debut album Composed<\/em>, which was one of our Album Picks<\/a> then.
\nWe’re pleased to know he is ready to release a brand new album called Cistern<\/em>. As the title suggests, Bischoff conceived the album in an empty two million gallon underground water tank, here he spent time improvising. Cistern<\/em> reflects its inception space, which, according to the press release, “forced Bischoff to slow down, to reflect, to draw on his childhood growing up on a sailing boat – an unexpected journey of rediscovery, from the city back to the Pacific Ocean via the Cistern.”.
\nTo bring the record to life, Bischoff has also enlisted the help of incredible New York ensemble Contemporaneous.<\/p>\n

Cistern<\/em> will see the light of day on July 15th via The Leaf Label<\/a>. To get us enticed ahead of it, Bischoff has shared the majestic, poignant and introspective title track. Play it loud and on repeat.<\/p>\n
