\"Ben<\/a>Heat & Entropy<\/em>, the new album from Ben Chatwin<\/a>, is nearing its release date and he has previously enticed us with the magically wonderful opener \u2018Inflexion<\/a>\u2019. Ahead of the album’s release, the experimental Edinburgh based composer shared another marvellous track from the album, ‘Euclidean Plane’. Referring to the track, Chatwin had this to say:<\/p>\n

“Heat & Entropy deals with contradictions and opposing forces in a kind of symbiosis. The challenge was seeing how far I could push both the acoustic and electronic elements resulting in simultaenous beauty and chaos. Euclidean Plane is one of the more harmonious tracks on the album.<\/p>\n

The Octopus became a visual representation for this as it represents organic life and nature yet hints at something alien and desolate.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

With Nat Urazmetova on direction duties, ‘Euclidean Plane’ has been paired with a stunning visual accompaniment. Urazmetova describes the ideas behind it:<\/p>\n

“An unexplainable, visceral fascination with the mysterious otherworldliness of octopuses, the ethereal grace and the complexity of their behavior and temperament that magnetises me the most. This is something I tried to capture in the video for Ben’s ravishing track, “Euclidean Plane”: delicacy and unpredictability, the strong physicality but also a shimmering illusion, the pulsation which might have the extraterrestrial source.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
