\"PVT<\/a>PVT<\/a>‘s much anticipated fifth album, New Spirit<\/em>, is only a month away from dropping. They had already enticed us with the mighty first single \u2018Morning Mist, Rock Island Bend<\/a>\u2019, and now they have unveiled another tremendous new single, ‘Another Life’. The track explores the same themes behind the album, including the growth of political and cultural intolerance in Australia. The trio’s frontman Richard Pike explains:<\/p>\n

“To me, Another Life is about expectation and things falling short of that expectation. It’s about middle class ‘aspirational’ desire and their ultimate dissatisfaction. And it’s about my own dissatisfaction with political leaders’ short-sighted and archaic regression of ideas, eating up a country’s own future. Aside from the political rant against new conservatism – which it is – it’s also a personal look at human nature and a hopeful pining for another life. It’s also got a great beat.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
