Inspired by Sudanese fiddlers, the self-taught violinist and vocalist combines West African rhythms with electronic music and R&amp;B. Earlier this summer, she released her debut self-titled EP through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stonesthrow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stones Throw<\/a>. On the back of it, Sudan Archives has recently shared the wonderful and enveloping single &#8216;Water&#8217;. The track is offered with a video featuring footage from a trip to Ghana where she taught music production to kids.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cTeaching the kids at the North Star School with The Taiwo Fund was a dream come true and the main reason we traveled to Ghana. I launched a three day music production workshop and kids easily adapted to electric drum kits because they are already skilled drummers at their school. I\u2019m grateful that I had the opportunity to go and teach the skills I\u2019ve learned and inspire the students to create with the tools that they already have.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The video is directed by Eric Coleman.
