\"\"Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Domenico Lancellotti, known simply as Domenico, has been part of many Brazilian musical\u00a0and visual constellations for several years.
\nThe prolific multi-instrumentalist and composer released his first solo album, Cine Priv\u00e9<\/em>, last year via Coqueiro Verde Records<\/a>. The album, co-produced by Moreno Veloso and mixed by M\u00e1rio Caldato Jr., has just been re-released via Plug Research<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Domenico composes music based on cinematic images of films that are yet to be made. Cine Priv\u00e9, which translates to Private Cinema, is a vehicle for visual exploration, as the press release describes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like music that was conceived to support a certain image or scene. In these cases, the music interacts directly with the nervous system.” said Domenico. \u201dWhen I\u2019m going to record an album, I look for a \u201cphoto\u201d that\u2019s in line with the image [in my mind] I have for the album.\u201d.<\/p>\n
