Part of the artists&#8217; collective <a href=\"http:\/\/origami.teks.no\/\" target=\"_blank\">Origami Republika<\/a>, they recast traditional Norwegian folk songs and folklore into experimental and drone renditions, as the press release describes.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The music on this new album is dim, dark, &amp; melancholic. Some tracks bear witness to a sacral droning organ. The associations leap towards damp ecstasy in small chapels, deep in narrow valleys where meaningless rituals &amp; prayers tempt weary souls with promises of a better afterlife. Folk beliefs, Pagan beliefs, Christian beliefs \u2013 the unintelligible has led a life in close proximity to the shallow waters of reason &amp; perception permeating our times, breeding models of understanding for an unfamiliar &amp; seemingly meaningless existence.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Absolut Geh\u00f6r<\/em> is available on vinyl via Killer Records and digitally via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.silbermedia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Silber Records<\/a>.
