Four years on from the release of Last<\/em>, Northumberland based folk band The Unthanks<\/a> have announce the release of a new full-length album. Mount The Air<\/em> will see the light of day on February 9th via their own label RabbleRouser. Luckily, we don’t have to wait till then to get a taste of what they’ll be throwing at us. The enchanting title track is being released as a limited edition 10″ single on December 8th and an accompanying video has just emerged. As the press release describes, ‘Mount The Air’ “has echoes of Miles Davis and Gill Evans in their Sketches of Spain period, and climaxes with a euphoria reminiscent of Arcade Fire or Elbow, but without guitars, creating power instead with breathtaking musical colour and beauty.”.
