Around this time last year, we were introduced<\/a> to experimental rock group Watter<\/a>, comprising Grails guitarist Zak Riles, Slint drummer Britt Walford, and multi-instrumentalist Tyler Trotter, and their debut album, This World<\/em>.
\nNow we get to know Bonnie Stillwatter, a conceptual collaboration between Watter, Will Oldham aka Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy and nomadic brewer Stillwater Artisanal. According to the press release, “this collaboration is an inspired one, the roots of which are a mutual respect and love, and the fruits of which are two side-long trips into dark cinematic folk-rock determined to find the light at the end of the tunnel.”.
\n‘The Devil Is People’ is the result of this collaboration and it’s coming out in the form of a limited-edition coloured vinyl 12″ on April 14th via Temporary Residence<\/a>. This release includes two versions of ‘The Devil Is People’ and a remix of the song by multi-instrumentalist\/producer Bundy K. Brown (Tortoise, Gastr del Sol) on the b-side. It also comes paired with a limited-edition beer. We’ll have to wait to taste it but we can already hear ‘The Devil Is People’.<\/p>\n
