Two years after releasing the enchanting debut album Tricolore<\/em>, Derbyshire based trio Haiku Salut<\/a> have announced its follow up. Their upcoming album, Etch And Etch Deep<\/em>, arrives on July 31st via How Does It Feel To Be Loved?<\/a>.
\n“While Tricolore<\/em> was the sound of a young band working through their influences”, as the press release describes, \u201cEtch And Etch Deep<\/em> finds the trio melting those influences to create a sound without joins and without hyphens”.
\nSpeaking about the album, here’s what the band’s own Sophie Barkerwood had to say:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe went to Norway for a show last year where everything was a little overwhelming and humbling. I think it was the mountains that did that. The people that lived in the tiny village had a huge respect for the landscape, weather and nature that we had never really considered. It changed how I viewed the world and the questionable feeling of coping that came along with that. The album title refers to that. There is nobody controlling your future, you take responsibility for yourself. You make your own meaning.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
