We’re thrilled to know there is a brand new full-length album on the way from the immensely talented singer-songwriter Jono McCleery<\/a>. Entitled Pagodes<\/em>, it follows his majestic and widely acclaimed 2011’s There Is <\/em>and it arrives on October 2nd via If Music<\/a>.
\nHis marvellous guitar playing and soulful and powerful singing shine even stronger in Pagodes<\/em>. As the press release describes, “it\u2019s an album that\u2019s difficult to turn away from, full of beautiful melody, futuristic production flourishes and lyrics that don\u2019t shy away from darkness, but always alight on uplifting conclusion.”.<\/p>\n

We’re itchy with anticipation for the album to drop but we can already wrap our ears around the first single, an utterly beautiful interpretation of Robert Wyatt\u2019s ‘Age of Self’. Here it is.<\/p>\n
