Bristolian quartet Get The Blessing<\/a> landed one of our favourite albums of 2014 with their fourth album Lope & Antilope<\/em>. So we’re excited to know they are ready to unveil its follow-up, Astronautilus<\/em>. Dedicated to the late Ornette Coleman, the album “was literally composed between crashing waves and deserted estuary sands”, says the press release, “producing an album of pounding rhythms, spacious atmospheres and strongly-crafted melodies – plus, of course, the unpredictability and musical mischievousness that have made the band so exciting and successful.”
\nAstronautilus<\/em> is due out on October 2nd via Naim Jazz Records<\/a> and Get The Blessing have already allured us with the awesome single ‘Monkfish’. Reportedly, the track is “simultaneously inspired by Thelonius Monk, a pair of Deamer’s shoes and of course, the fish”. Here it is.<\/p>\n
