\"Bianca<\/a>Bianca Casady has embarked on a new project called Bianca Casady & The C.i.A<\/a>, together with dancer Bino Sauitzvy, musicians Michal Skoda, Takuya Nakamura, Doug Wieselman, and visual artist\/pianist J.M.Ruellan. They have announced their debut album, Oscar Hocks<\/em>, due in early 2016 via FANTASYmusic<\/a> in Europe and Atlas Chair<\/a> in America. With an overall darker and more mysterious tone than CocoRosie, Bianca “Coco” said this of her solo work:<\/p>\n

“I often played the dark side of CocoRosie. And now I don’t have to worry about being too dark, too scary, too weird.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

There’s more exciting news from Bianca Casady & The C.i.A. They’ll be heading on an extensive European tour bringing their new musical-performance project Porno Thietor<\/em> to intimate stages. The tour starts on November 6th at Iceland Airwaves and the last show will be in London on December 3rd at the ATP Pop-Up Venue.
\nIn addition to the The C.i.A members, Bianca has also enlisted the help of performer L\u00e6rke Gr\u00f8ntved and scenographer Corentin JPM Leven doing light\/video and stage design. Porno Thietor<\/em> “often crosses over into territories of ritual, nightmare and fantasy”, describes the press release.<\/p>\n

‘Poor Deal’ is being offered as the album’s first taster, a song that first started from “an untuned piano, a dusty typewriter and a pile of broken umbrellas”. Listen to it below and then watch a teaser trailer for the live show, including another new track, ‘Faded Like a Rose’.<\/p>\n
