This Monday, multi-instrumentalist and fine artist James Brooks, the man behind Land Observations, will release the follow-up to his 2012 debut album Roman Roads IV-XI. Aptly entitled The Grand Tour, Land Observations’ upcoming “album creates an imaginary travelogue through Western, Central and Southern Europe with reference to the historic Grand Tour, a traditional rite of passage for wealthy University graduates, finding popularity in the 18th century and commencing the idea of ‘tourism’ as we know it.’, as the press release describes.
To entice us further, Land Observations has shared the utterly beautiful closing track, ‘Return To Ravenna’. Give it a listen now.
The Grand Tour is out on July 28th via Mute.
