We were won over by ‘Way It Is, Way It Could Be’ and ‘Shy Woman’, the first wonderful singles from The Weather Station‘s upcoming third album Loyalty. The album will see the light of day on May 12th via Paradise of Bachelors in the US and Europe and via Outside Music in Canada. Ahead of it, Tamara Lindeman, is enticing us further with a new cut, the gorgeous and silky ‘Tapes’. Wrap your ears around it.
Tanya Tagaq is offering a striking visual accompaniment for the tremendous ‘Uja’. The track is taken from her groundbreaking and tantalizing third album Animism, which won the Polaris Music Prize last year and the award for Aboriginal Album of the Year at the 2015 Juno Awards.
The video was directed by Manitoba’s Procter Bros, and it “presents the same stark instabilities, frailties, dangers and violence as evoked by the song”, as the press release describes. Watch it now.

Los Angeles noise rock foursome HEALTH haven’t released an album in a very long while. We’re pleased to know they are back, and ready to release the follow-up to 2009’s Get Color. The new album, entitled Death Magic, is due out on August 7th via Loma Vista Recordings.
We can already get a taste from the album, with the first single ‘New Coke’. It comes paired with a video, directed by the band’s bassist John Famiglietti. It involves quite a bit of slow-motion vomiting, so if that’s not your thing, just stream the song straight after the video.
Stolen Youth, the new EP from Roots Manuva, drops in less than 2 weeks. We already heard the insanely good ‘Facety 2:11′, produced by Four Tet. Now the British rapper/producer is offering the B-side ‘Like a Drum’, produced by Machinedrum. Listen to it below and grab the EP when it’s out on May 4th via Ninja Tune/Big Dada.
Eric Chenaux has unveiled a video for the utterly gorgeous ‘Poor Time’, directed by Eric Cazdyn. The track is taken from his divine album Skullsplitter, released recently via Constellation. Here it is.

Captain of None, the new album from Colleen, came out earlier this month via Thrill Jockey. We fell head over heels for the album when we first heard the marvellous and enveloping title track. The French multi-instrumentalist and composer is now offering a video to accompany ‘Captain of None’, directed by Naoko Tanaka. Watch it below.
