Naytronix is all set to release his somophore album, Mister Divine, this October. The Oakland based multi-instrumentalist and producer has already enticed us last month with the album’s title track. Now he’s offering a video for it too, directed by visual artist SNEAL. Here it is.

Last month The Chap announced the release of The Show Must Go, a political rock album due out this Autumn via Lo Recordings. The quintet teased their upcoming album with the first single ‘Jammer‘, and they offered these words to describe it:
“‘Jammer’ is a wordless single. It’s the sound of despair in the face of awesome idiocy that renders The Chap’s usually reliable Swiss Army knife of irony totally worthless. In the midst of events that deeply affect their family and friends, The Chap are united in their realisation: you can take Democracy out of Europe, but you can still tour Europe. Fuck you, Europe. We are The Chap, we are Europe.”

Maserati are back with a new album, Rehumanizer, the follow-up to their 2012 Maserati VII. The effort drops on October 30th via Temporary Residence. According to the label, Rehumanizer “is distinctly as much man as it is machine – a true alliance of the past and the future”. Maserati are “retro futurists hellbent on forging Krautrock and classic rock into one motorik, monolithic vehicle”.
‘Rehumanizer II’, the electrifying closing track, serves as the first taste from the album. Here it is.
We’re just a month away from the release of Battles third album, La Di Da Di. They gave fans a spectacular first glimpse of the new material earlier this month with a video featuring 4 new songs, recorded live in their rehearsal space in New York and directed by David Radboy. Battles have been a firm favourite of ours for a decade now and we’re thrilled to see they are back in full force as a trio.

“As the name might imply, La Di Da Di is a mushrooming monolith of repetition. Here is an organic techno thrum of nearly infinite loops that refuse to remain consistent. ‘One Thing’ is the brand new single from the mighty British rapper/producer Roots Manuva, released last Friday via Big Dada. Here’s what the accompanying blurb says about the track:

With the September 18th release of The Diet fast approaching, HeCTA are teasing their debut album again. They have unleashed a driven and hypnotic beast of a track called ‘Sympathy For The Auto Industry’, that brings to mind Kraftwerk’s Autobahn, with touches of pop and new wave. The single is “HeCTA’s unique interpretation on the pop-song format”, says the press release. “Inviting laid-back techno sounds & bubbling synths provide a fresh foundation to Kurt Wagner’s instantly recognizable voice, offering a further glimpse of what to expect from the forthcoming record”.
