To celebrate the album release, the brilliant multidisciplinary artist has shared a medley in the shape of a short film combining the three acts that make the album, GUMBO, Apology and Peace. We’re just a couple of days away from the release of Atoll, the debut album from Brussels based quartet TUKAN. An exciting and exhilarating album, it draws from influences and genres aplenty, from electronic music to jazz and post-rock and the band cites bands like Tortoise, Badbadnotgood, Floating Points, Squarepusher and Lone as reference point. Atoll arrives on November 18th through Magma/NEWS and TUKAN have recently enticed us with their newest single ‘206’. Take a listen now.
With Run Logan Run’s new album, Nature Will Take Care Of You, just over two weeks away, the adventurous drum-and-sax duo of Andrew Neil Hayes and Matt Brown release today a third single called ‘Project Pigeon Missile’. Of the track, Brown commented:
“At first this track came together in a more traditional Run Logan Run fashion via starting rehearsals with long improvisations. I’d been listening to a lot of Ahmad Jamal at the time so that has a very clear influence. The special thing about this track is it was the first time that Andrew had the idea of bringing in Annie Gardner to sing! Safe to say the collaboration worked.”

Entrancing electro-acoustic duo Watkins / Peacock inhabit a sonic world at the borderlands of improvised music, krautrock and dub traditions. Visionary musicians, singular improvisers and prolific collaborators, Watkins and Peacocks’ list of projects includes Black Spirituals, Kronos Quartet, Mwahaha, tUnE-yArDs, and many others. Formed in 2017, the duo’s powerful hybrid of digital and analog conveys an ineffable sense of joy and resonance between their distinct musical approaches. Bibio has been turning our heads for a long time, constantly taking exciting and unexpected turns from album to album since his 2005 debut album. Last month saw him release his tenth studio album aptly titled BIB10. “I like contrast between my albums,” Stephen Wilkinson aka Bibio explained. “When I finish an album, I crave doing something different for the next one.”
With influences drawn from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, BIB10 brings the groove back to forefront, with irresistible funky pop songs touching on disco and soul. Speaking about the album, he comments:
“I think as ten is such a milestone, I wanted this record to be more of a party album. It also has its dreamy and melancholy moments, but there’s a lot of fun and playfulness in this album”

As The Leaf Label prepares for the release of Sarathy Korwar‘s impending third album Kalak, a new mesmerizing single from the London based, American born and Indian bred percussionist, producer and composer is now streaming. Titled ‘Remember To Look Out For The Signs’, it follows previously released singles ‘Remember Begum Rokheya’ and ‘Utopia Is A Colonial Project’. “’Remember To Look Out For The Signs’ is currently my favourite song on the album,” Korwar said of the track. “Hypnotic and polyrhythmic drum grooves that epitomise the cyclicality of KALAK. It’s a warning call, a reminder that change happens incrementally and if we don’t pay attention, it might be too late.”
The single is offered with a visualiser filmed by Korwar and Fabrice Bourgelle. Watch it now.
