Lumerians premiere outlandish animated video for ‘Smokies Tangle’
The Lumerians have premiered a bonkers short animated film for their song ‘Smokies Tangle’, off their recently released album The High Frontier. Entitled Smokie and Lady Chronus, the video portrays a berserk love story between different species. Geoffrey Lillemon wrote and directed the effort, be sure to check it out below.
The High Frontier is out now via Partisan Records.
Lumerians share new single and accompanying video
We are getting excitingly closer to the release date of Lumerians‘s new album The High Frontier and they are getting us even more hyped up about it with their staggering new single, ‘Life Without Skin’, and a befitting video to accompany it. Lumerians drop new single ‘Dogon Genesis’
As we had previously mentioned, Oakland’s Lumerians are set to release a new full-length album entitled The High Frontier. The effort arrives on June 10th in Europe and on August 6th in the USA via Partisan Records.
Following the hypnotic first single ‘The Bloom’, and ahead of the album release, the quartet have just dropped the new mesmerizing single, ‘Dongon Genesis’. Listen to it below, accompanied by an animated version of the album’s cover art.
Lumerians announce new album and share first single
Oakland’s psychedelic rockers Lumerians, made up by Tyler Green, Chris Musgrave, Jason Miller and Marc Melzer, are set to release a new full-length album, entitled The High Frontier. Taking its name from a 1976 Gerard K. O’Neil’s illustrated book portraying the human colonization of space, the album was recorded and produced at the band’s self-built studio.
The High Frontier is coming out on May 6th in Europe and August 6th in The USA via Partisan Records.
“Lumerians thrust forward with Krautrock inspired exploration, Afrobeat’s ritualistic rhythms, post-punk guitar noise and cracked-glacé synth lines culled from perverse 1970’s sci-fi soundtracks.”, says the blurb that accompanies the record release. “The High Frontier sets scope outward, points blindfolded at a star map and sets off full blast without making course corrections.”
Ahead of the album’s release, the band has just dropped lead single ‘The Bloom’, and a video to accompany it. Get ready to dive in a trippy sea of colour and noise.
