Mystical Weapons‘ eponymous debut album is only a few days away from being released and they have already enticed us with two stunning tracks from it, ‘Mechanical Mammoth’ and ‘Whispers The Blue Tongue’.

To keep up the tension, the improvisational project of Sean Lennon and Greg Saunier have just unveiled a new cut from the forthcoming album, ‘Colony Collapse Disorder’. Check it out below and watch out for the album release this Tuesday January 15th via Chimera Music.

Last month we heard ‘Mechanical Mammoth’, the mind blowing first taste offered by the new improvisational outfit of Sean Lennon and Deerhoof’s drummer Greg Saunier, Mystical Weapons. The pair will release their self-titled debut album on January 15th via Chimera Music.

Mystical Weapons is the brand new project of Sean Lennon and Deerhoof’s drummer Greg Saunier.
According to the press release, the two met a couple of years ago when Deerhoof shared the bill with the Plastic Ono Band in a San Francisco show. Sean Lennon’s Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger were down to play the following day and he asked Saunier if he’d want to form a duo to open the show.
They’ve continued to collaborate since and have just announced the release of their self-titled debut album, due out on January 15th via Lennon’s own Chimera Music.
