Pianist and composer August Rosenbaum, a well-known player in the experimental jazz scene in his native Denmark, has announced his debut solo album. Entitled Vista, the album will see the light of day on November 24th via Tambourhinoceros. Rosenbaum is teasing the album with its first single, the beautiful and enthralling ‘Nebula’. Here’s what Rosenbaum had to say about it:
“Nebula is a theme for the future. To me it’s a dream of floating in infinite darkness – somewhere between a space odyssey and a fever dream, both heavy and weightless. When I close my eyes I see images from Stanley Kubrick’s A Space Odyssey and Tarkovsky’s Solaris. Both of which are among my all-time favourite soundtracks”.
The single is being offered with a video directed by Swedish artist Andreas Emenius in collaboration with Prxjects. Watch it below.
