There’s a new album on the way from Delicate Steve, the project of multi-instrumentalist Steve Marion. Entitled This Is Steve, it’s his first record in four years and it drops on January 27th via Anti-. The sunny single ‘Winners’, taken from the album, has been paired with an accompanying video shot on the busy Jersey shore boardwalk. “’Winners’ is not about life’s winners – it’s about things not being as they seem”, explained Steve. “I wanted this video to magnify that aspect of life, and what better place to do it than my childhood boardwalk at the Jersey Shore. Though after filming this video, I’ve come to believe that maybe things are as they seem… “. Check out the video now.

Steve Marion aka Delicate Steve has just debuted a self-directed video for ‘Redeemer’, a track off his album Positive Force, released in July via Luaka Bop.
The multi-instrumentalist shot the footage used in the video in India where he was travelling earlier in Spring.

Delicate Steve, the moniker of talented multi-instrumentalist Steve Marion, is finally releasing his much anticipated somophore album, Positive Force. It will hit stores on July 10th via Luaka Bop.
Today Steve and the label launched operation ‘Positive Force Friendship Stream’ to celebrate the forthcoming release. Each song from the album is being premiered by a different band via their social media pages. Here’s what Steve said about the listening event:

“Presenting the record to you in its entirety are ten of my favorite bands, composed of some of my favorite people in the world. They are all friends, they are all extraordinary, they are all my heroes. People who have influenced the music Delicate Steve makes so very deeply. Because of all these things, I couldn’t be more excited to have these friends of mine be the first people to share the tunes with you, the listener. Please enjoy. Deep thank yous all around.”

Positive Force is being offered by the hands of Akron/Family, Givers, Yeasayer, Javelin, Yellow Ostrich and another handful of some of his most inspirational friends. Check Delicate Steve’s social page for the links for all the bands premiering a song.

Delicate Steve is the brainchild project of multi-instrumentalist Steve Marion who hails from New Jersey.

His somophore album Positive Force is set to be released on May 15th July 10th via David Byrne’s Luaka Bop label.
The album was written, played, recorded and mixed by Steve.
