Errors set to release fourth album next Spring

Errors - Lease Of Life

Errors are ready to release the follow-up to 2012’s Have Some Faith In Magic. The new album, entitled Lease of Life, was composed on the remote Hebridean Isle Of Jura in Scotland. That’s where George Orwell wrote Nineteen Eighty-Four. That’s also where The KLF have reportedly burned a million pounds back in 94.
According to the album’s blurb, Errors’ new album “is also the band’s most cohesive album statement to date: a start-to-finish experience that’s bound by recurring constituents and accomplished craft.”
Bek Oliva of Edinburgh’s outfit Magic Eye, who had guested on vocals in the trio’s previous album, has once again been recruited for vocal duties, along with vocalist Cecilia Stamp.

Lease Of Life will see the light of day on March 23rd via Rock Action Records. We’re hoping that day comes quick, considering the amazing title track being offered as a first taste.
Coinciding with the album release, Errors will embark on a UK tour in March and April, with a show at Oslo in London on April 2nd 2015. Check all the other dates and other info here. Now enjoy ‘Lease Of Life’.

Errors set to release New Relics this Fall

Back in January, Errors released their third full-length album, Have Some Faith In Magic, to widespread acclaim.
The quartet has been busy and revealed today they are set to release a new 8-track mini-album entitled New Relics. The new tracks were recorded over the Spring in their Glasgow Studio.

The new effort is due out in October and it will be available digitally, on CD and 12″ via Mogwai’s Rock Action Records.
New Relics will also be available on VHS, limited to 200 copies. Errors teamed up with Rachel Maclean, who had already directed the video for their ‘Pleasure Palaces’ single, and other visual artists, to create a full length visual representation of the mini-album.

Errors are offering the very first taste off the upcoming mini-album, the staggering track ‘Relics’. It features guest vocals from Bek Oliva of Edinburgh’s outfit Magic Eye. Check it out below.

Errors - Have Some Faith In Magic

Scottish quartet Errors are releasing their much anticipated third full-length album. Have Some Faith In Magic drops on January 30th via Rock Action Records.
‘Magna Encarta’, the second track from the forthcoming album, had already been released last April with a shiny video embedded below.
‘Pleasure Palaces’ is the new single due out on January 23rd as a 500 limited 7″. The single release includes the exclusive b-side ‘Auberchute Flyer’. You can pre-order it now here.

Errors are giving us another taste from the new album with ‘Earthscore’, a new track that comes as a free download via their website.

Have Some Faith in Magic includes vocals for the first time. The 4 piece had already included voices using vocoders in their How Clean Is Your Acid House? EP back in 2006.  This is though the first time they are treating vocals like another instrument.

To coincide with album release, Errors will do a full tour of the UK in February. Check all the dates here.

Make no mistake and be sure to listen to ‘Earthscore’ and ‘Magna Encarta’ before the album hits stores.
