Grumbling Fur set to release somophore album Glynnaestra
Daniel O’Sullivan and Alexander Tucker first released an album as Grumbling Fur in 2011. Both artists have been collaborating prolifically in the UK experimental underground scene for a long time, O’Sullivan with his project Mothlite and as a member of Guapo, Ulver, and Aethenor (with Sunn O)))’s Stephen O’Malley) and Tucker as a solo artist and with Imbogodom.
Later this month, Grumbling Fur will release their second album and first as a duo. Glynnaestra will see the light of day on July 22nd via Thrill Jockey.
Described as an avant-pop album by the press release, Glynnaestra‘s “structural foundation is built up via an eclectic array of instruments, both acoustic and modified, to pulsating electronic sounds. Add to this mix the pair’s entirely modern shamanistic meta-narratives, and the result is a contemporary psychedelic pop delight.”
‘Dancing Light’ is the first track lifted from Grumbling Fur’s forthcoming album. Listen to it beneath.
