London based 5-piece tribal experimentalists Flamingods have just shared a brand new video for ‘Kinich Ahau’ lifted from their forthcoming full-length album.
Flamingods consist of founding member Kamal Rasool, Charles Prest, Sam Rowe, Craig Doporto and Karthik Poduval.
The quintet use an array of percussion instruments collected by Kamal whilst travelling in places like Tanzania, the Middle East and the Amazon. The feel of such places is captured by their music. which ranges from tribal to tropical and freak folk.
Previous efforts Away and Sun released last year are free to download on their bandcamp.
Whilst we wait for more details on the new album, here’s the video for ‘Kinich Ahau’ made by James Burgess.
