2015 is proving to be another prolific year for Australian one of a kind guitarist and singer-songwriter Kirin J Callinan. He opened for TV on the Radio and Tame Impala, played live and on record with Mark Ronson and Kevin Parker, toured with Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders and was also involved with the International production of “In Dreams – The Music of David Lynch” alongside Cibo Matto and Mick Harvey, amongst others. More excitingly, he’s getting ready to release the follow-up to his 2013 debut album Embracism sometime next year. Callinan is already teasing the album, with a brand new track and first single off it, ‘The Teacher’, featuring frequent collaborator and friend Connan Mockasin. The track is described as “a modern ode to first love, unforgettable loss & gettin’ schooled”. ‘The Teacher’ is out now via Siberia Records in Australia, Record Makers in Europe and Terrible Records in the US. Wherever you are are, listen to it now.
In other related good news, Kirin J Callinan is performing in London next week October 26th at The Waiting Room.
