Louis Carnell unveils third collaborative piece, ‘three’, featuring Ben Vince

Experimental composer and producer Louis Carnell has been rolling out collaborative works with artists from across the globe as part of 111, his ongoing curated series. Following the enigmatic and dark collaborative piece, ‘two‘, with musician, composer, visual artist, writer and producer Lee Ranaldo, and the first piece, ‘one‘, with English actress, composer and musician Keeley Forsyth, Carnell shared this week ‘three’, a wondrous piece created with experimental saxophonist and composer Ben Vince. Alongside the new piece, Carnell has also unveiled an accompanying visual work by himself and Arcin Sagdic. Here it is.

Earlier this month, experimental composer and producer Louis Carnell launched a curated series of 15 collaborative works with artists from across the globe called 111. The first piece, ‘one‘, saw him join forces with English actress, composer and musician Keeley Forsyth. Yesterday Carnell unveiled ‘two’, an enigmatic and dark collaborative piece with musician, composer, visual artist, writer and producer Lee Ranaldo. As with the first piece, ‘two’ also comes with a visual accompaniment directed by Carnell & Arcin Sagdic.

Experimental composer and producer Louis Carnell launches today 111, his new curated series of collaborative works with artists from across the globe. Comprising 15 collaborations, and conceived to try to “trace the shape of hope, in an epoch of disintegration”, 111 “aim[s] to question how and with whom we collaborate, and where we can find commonality and community.” Carnell will unveil a new work on every third Tuesday through Mute, starting today with ‘one’, a collaborative piece with English actress, composer and musician Keeley Forsyth. At once unsettling and beautiful, ‘one’ comes with a visual accompaniment, directed by Carnell & Arcin Sagdic. Here it is.
