Seamus Fogarty premieres video for ‘Carlow Town’ from upcoming album The Curious Hand

Seamus Fogarty - Carlow TownFive years on from the release of God Damn You Mountain, the second full-length album from London based Irish alt-folk singer songwriter Seamus Fogarty is on the way. Entitled The Curious Hand, the effort is Fogarty’s first release on Domino and it arrives on October 6th. The news comes paired with ‘Carlow Town’, a bewitching new song tinged with electronica elements that finds Fogarty narrating a night spent sleeping in a church in Carlow Town. What’s more, Seamus Fogarty has shared a fittingly gorgeous video for the track, featuring himself and bandmates Emma Smith and Aram Zarikian pulling some choreographed moves blended with hand drawn animation. The effort was directed by Jack Barraclough and animated by Venla Linna. Here’s what Fogarty had to say about it:

“I wanted to do something that would reflect the variety of styles and influences that people will hopefully hear on the record. Jack has made some of my favourite videos and I wanted to get the other two (Emma & Aram) in on the act because they are amazing dancers and played a huge part in getting the album across the line”

Here’s the video.
