Lori Goldston’s new album, High and Low, out now; watch the video for third single ‘We Miss You and Wish You Well’

Yesterday saw the release of Lori Goldston‘s much anticipated new album High and Low through SofaBurn. Goldston had also shared a third single from the record titled ‘We Miss You and Wish You Well’. The track comes with an accompanying video directed by Clyde Petersen, who had also directed the video for her first riveting single ‘The Waves and What’s Under’. Speaking about the video, he commented:

“This super8mm footage was shot on a flight from Burbank, California to Seattle, Washington. I was returning home from guest lecturing at the animation department at CalArts. I was in production on a documentary film about the band Earth at the time and often found myself shooting footage out of airplane windows and moving cars. As I boarded the plane, I saw Seattle film director Megan Griffiths and Erik Estrada (Ponch from CHiPS) in first class. Seated next to me in the main cabin was Mark L. Walberg, host of the reality show Temptation Island. I was trying not to freak out the entire time, because I was a big ‘Temptation Island’ fan in college.

As we approached the Northwest and Mount Rainier, I saw what I believe to be the most beautiful clouds I have ever seen in my entire life. Fluffy and gigantic, towering over the plane. I grabbed my camera and began to film them out the window. Mark was surprised to see me shooting actual film and we had quite a fun chat. I still have not seen a more perfect cloud in my life, and I believe I may never. I am ok with that. These were stunning. As I approached this music video, Lori informed me that the song was about our friend Geneviève Castrée. To celebrate her with these perfect clouds felt right. She would have liked the view.”
