The Flaming Lips - Sun Blows Up Today

The Flaming Lips announced a few days ago the release of their thirteenth studio album, entitled The Terror, and slated for a April 1st release in Europe and April 2nd in North America. To enthuse us all, they dropped ‘Sun Blows Up Today’, a catchy and bonkers new track, which will actually not be part of their forthcoming album, but comes as a bonus for anyone who orders the album now.
‘Sun Blows Up Today’ gets crazier with the kaleidoscopic video that accompanies it, with animation by George Salisbury. Check it out below.

Animated video for new track by The Flaming Lips featuring Prefuse 73

Only a few days ago, The Flaming Lips unleashed a video for the track ‘Girl, You’re So Weird’ featuring New Fumes.
They just released another video yesterday, this time for ‘Supermoon Made Me Want to Pee’ featuring Prefuse 73, which appears on the the collaborative Record Store Day double vinyl release The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends, out today.

The Flaming Lips and New Fumes release video for ‘Girl, You’re So Weird’

Nudity and colours are not new in the psychedelic world of The Flaming Lips and that’s exactly what’s on offer with the brand new video for the collaborative effort with New Fumes, ‘Girl, You’re So Weird’.
The Flaming Lips teamed up with New Fumes for a Record Store Day double vinyl album. The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends features collaborations with Lightning Bolt, Nick Cave, Neon Indian, Prefuse 73, Erykah Badu, Bon Iver and more.
‘Thunder Drops’ is actually the track featuring New Fumes that appears on the album but Wayne Coyne and friends picked ‘Girl, You’re So Weird’ to compliment with a video.
Look out for The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends this Saturday April 21st in a record store near you.
