ECHT! unveil video for final single ‘Boilerbeek’

Ahead of the imminent release of Boilerism, the new album from ECHT!, and having already unleashed two singles, ‘Wacky Wave’ and ‘Highed’, the quartet have just shared ‘Boilerbeek’ as the final single. An ode to the neighbourhoods of Schaarbeek and Molenbeek in Brussels, where they are based, ‘Boilerbeek’ strikes as “sometimes industrial and grungy, yet also complex and intriguing due to its diverse influences”. The track also refers to the pop culture status of Boiler Room, as is blatant in the video that accompanies the song, with direction and 3D animation from Rocco Manta. Watch it below and watch out for the release of Boilerism on March 7th through Sdban Ultra.

ECHT! are due to take their mind-altering live show to London’s Bricklane Jazz Festival on April 25th, marking their UK festival debut.

ECHT! premiere animated video for ‘Highed’

The heady and intoxicating ‘Highed’, lifted from ECHT!‘s upcoming Boilerism, was the first single to emerge when they announced the album back in December. Now the Brussels based futuristic quartet have paired the track with an animated video made by Simon Breeveld & Super Tchip. As with the track and the rest of the album, the video pays homage to club culture, and as the press release describes, “it’s a surreal ride through the history of dance and clubbing, packed with absurd transitions and a touch of psychedelic madness”. Here it is.

Boilerism is out on March 7th through Sdban Ultra.

ECHT! drop second single ‘Wacky Wave’

Following the heady and intoxicating ‘Highed’, Brussels based futuristic quartet ECHT! have dropped another stomper from their upcoming third full-lengh album Boilerism. Titled ‘Wacky Wave’, the new single is an outlandish, menacing and propulsive track “built on irresistible grooves, fat, deep sounds, and playful melodies that inject the track with a dose of fun”, as the press release describes. Listen to it below and watch out for the release of Boilerism on March 7th through Sdban Ultra.

ECHT! set to release third LP, Boilerism, in March; listen to lead single ‘Highed’

ECHT! swept us off our feet with their debut EP, DOUF, released in 2019, and both albums that followed it, 2021’s Inwane and 2023’s Sink-Along completely blew our minds. So we’re obviously buzzing with today’s announcement of an incoming third full-lengh album. Entitled Boilerism, the new album sees the Brussels based futuristic quartet explore genres like acid, drum & bass, footwork, and UK garage, all while diving into faster tempos. Described as both a celebration and a reinvention, Boilerism  is “an ode to club culture, to the energy of live music, and to the thrill of experimentation.”

We’ll have to wait until March 7th for the album to be out through Sdban Ultra but there’s already good reasons to be excited with the heady and intoxicating ‘Highed’, the first single unveiled today. Pulsing with “pounding rhythms, unexpected drops, exhilarating twists, and relentless energy”, ‘Highed’ captures the euphoria and mind-altering rush of a rave. Take a listen now.

We’re getting excitingly close to the release of Sink-Along, ECHT!‘s sophomore album arriving on May 5th through Sdban Ultra. The Brussels based outfit had already teased the record with two dope tracks, ‘Mtwk Part 2’ and ‘Vault-A’ and as if we needed any more reasons to be excited for this release, the quartet has let loose a third intoxicating single, ‘Cheesecake’, a track awash with a deep, dark and menacing groove. ECHT! had this to say about it:

“It’s not a very long piece, but it’s full of different stories and atmospheres. We wanted to have something heavy but using it in a non-linear way and we wanted to surprise ourselves and the listener. It’s deep and heavy, but there are developments and twists that you don’t expect.”

‘Cheesecake’ is downright catchy. Take a listen now.
