A powerhouse in contemporary jazz, Dutch-Belgian acoustic-electronic piano trio De Beren Gieren, consisting of pianist Fulco Ottervanger, Lieven Van Pée on bass, and Simon Segers on drums, have garnered numerous accolades, collaborated with several renowned artists and appeared at major festivals in Europe and elsewhere since their inception in 2009. With a phenomenal seventh album, What Eludes Us, released just a few days ago, De Beren Gieren continue to showcase their boundless creativity. Their music, always full of surprises, is adventurous and exciting, weaving intricate melodies and polyrhythmic soundscapes with improvisation, minimalism and their unique vibrant energy. BeraadGeslagen tease upcoming album with lead single ‘Tennisles’

With a singular style, BeraadGeslagen are an integral part of the thriving Belgium jazz scene. The duo of drummer Lander Gyselinck (STUFF., LABtrio) and keyboardist/singer Fulco Ottervanger (De Beren Gieren) are gearing up to release a new full-length album this autumn. Entitled Altijd Bewust Bewegen, the effort arrives on October 27th through W.E.R.F. Records. More details are yet to emerge but BeraadGeslagen have already given a glimpse at what to expect with the first wild and exhilarating single, ‘Tennisles’. Take a listen below.

For anyone late to the party, TUKAN are Andrea Pesare (guitar), Nathan Van Brande (bass), Samuel Marie (keys) and Tommaso Patrix (drums). Known for their intoxicating live shows and a unique and heady brew of electronic music, jazz and post-rock, the four Brussels musicians have been garnering widespread acclaim. Last year TUKAN released Atoll, an adventurous, exhilarating and groove-heavy debut album that left us awestruck. Atoll represents a band with an undeniable improvisational synergy in their music. Needless to say we were ecstatic when the band agreed to take time out to create this amazing mix for us, scratching the surface of their influences.
