Elfin Saddle release video for ‘The Changing Wind’

Elfin Saddle‘s third full-length album Devastates came out a couple of months ago on Constellation Records. Back then, we posted the epic opening track ‘The Changing Wind’. Now the duo of Emi Honda and Jordan McKenzie have released a video for the same track, featuring kaleidoscopic close-up shots of their recent installation work.

In support of the new album, Elfin Saddle are starting a European tour on May 18th at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Check all other dates here.

Black Dice premiere video for new single ‘Rodriguez’

Black Dice‘s Mr. Impossible is out now and the experimental art noise threesome are taking it on a huge tour aptly called “Electronic Mind Monsters Reader Tour”. The tour kicks off tonight in Boston and they’ll be touring North-America throughout May and head over to Europe in September. You can check all the dates here.

Yesterday the trio premiered a video for the new single ‘Rodriguez’, made by themselves. ‘Rodriguez’ will be released as a 7″ single featuring B-side ‘Pissed In A Cave’ and you can get it exclusively on one of the band’s shows or via Ribbon.

BEAK> announce somophore album and share new track

British trio BEAK>, comprising frontman Geoff Barrow (of Portishead fame) and fellow Bristol natives Matt Williams and Billy Fuller have announced the follow up to their 2009’s self-titled debut album.
Their upcoming somophore effort, entitled >>, will be released digitally on June 13th and a physical release arrives on June 11th in the UK and July 3rd in the US via Barrow’s own Invada Records.

Dive become Diiv and offer new track from upcoming debut album

Yesterday saw Brooklyn indie rockers Dive change their name to Diiv. Frontman Zachary Cole Smith (Of Beach Fossils fame) explained it as an act of respect towards Belgian artist Dirk Ivins aka Dive.
Zachary said “the band is the same, the music is the same, the future will always be the same. A name is nothing.”

To coincide with the name change, Diiv shared a new cut, ‘Doused’, from their upcoming debut album Oshin, out June 26th via Captured Tracks. Listen to it below.

Blues Control share first cut from forthcoming album Valley Tangents

Blues Control, the avant-rock duo of Russ Waterhouse and Lea Cho, originally from Queens, New York and now relocated to Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, are set to release their fourth album Valley Tangents. It drops on June 19th and it will mark their debut on Drag City.

The pair have offered the first taste from Valley Tangents, ‘Iron Pigs’, an excellent proggy space jam. Enjoy.
