The Herald Beat release lead single ahead of debut album

Dylan and Zack Burns are the two brothers hailing from Texas and now based in Los Angeles who make up indie/post-rock outfit The Herald Beat. The pair are set to release their debut full-length album, Hollow Heads, on October 15th.
The album, produced by Louie Lino (Nada Surf, Matt Pond PA, et al.), “follows themes of reflection and retrospection” as the press release describes. “Dylan’s guitar parts take subtle influences from classical training to create strong, pervading melodies over Zack’s upbeat, driving percussion that keeps the momentum even through the slow songs.”

‘Awakening’ is the first single taken from Hollow Heads and it features guest vocalist Leslie Sisson (The Wooden Birds, American Analog Set, and Broken Social Scene). Listen to it now.
