The Mynabirds announce release of Body of Work 7″

The Mynabirds, the Nebraska based outfit fronted by singer-songwriter Laura Burhenn, released their somophore album Generals earlier this year.
‘Body of Work’ was the second single lifted from the album and The Mynabirds have just announced it will have its own 7″ release.
Body of Work 7″ arrives on November 20th via Saddle Creek. The single comes backed with the previously unreleased B-side ‘In the Mouth of Wolves’.

“’Body of Work’ is a reminder of our absolute power to reimagine, redesign, and transform our lives at any given moment into something we enjoy to the utmost, something that’s wholly and fully our own,” said Burhenn. “We are not victims of the past, but artists who can shape it into the most brilliant form imaginable; we are living things, bodies of work to edit.”
To represent this idea of transformation, the vinyl will be housed in a 4-panel fold-out jacket that can be folded into an origami wild horse.
There’s only 1000 copies available and they’ll come in random colours. You can pre-order it now here.

To get you enticed, here’s the gorgeous and cheerful ‘Body of Work’.

The album, produced by Louie Lino (Nada Surf, Matt Pond PA, et al.), “follows themes of reflection and retrospection” as the press release describes. “Dylan’s guitar parts take subtle influences from classical training to create strong, pervading melodies over Zack’s upbeat, driving percussion that keeps the momentum even through the slow songs.”
