Holy Fuck‘s new album, Congrats, is nearing its release and as you might have noticed, we’ve been itching with excitement. After teasing us a couple of years ago with the storming ‘Sabbatics‘, the Canadian quartet shared earlier this year another two mighty cuts from the album, ‘Tom Tom‘ and ‘Xed Eyes‘.
With just over a week to go until Congrats drops, Holy Fuck have shared a brand new beast of a track off it called ‘Caught Up’. Excuse us while we listen to it over and over again!
Ahleuchatistas have just kicked off a US tour in support of their latest album, Arrebato, released last year. To celebrate the tour, the duo of Shane Perlowin and Ryan Oslance have unveiled a video for the album’s closing track ‘Erosion’. The effort was directed, shot and edited by Sam Klickner. Brilliant musician and producer Sandro Perri has unveiled an exciting new project. With an immense work stylistically diverse under his belt, Perri has been prolific in his solo work, using his own name and other monikers, and also collaboratively working with many different musicians. Entitled Off World, the new project assembles a collection of Perri’s collaborative work with other producers, including Lorenz Peter (Corpusse, Processor), Drew Brown (Lower Dens, Blonde Redhead, Beck), Susumu Mukai (Zongamin), M J Silver (Mickey Moonlight) and Craig Dunsmuir (Glissandro 70, Kanada 70), and musicians Eric Chenaux and Jesse Zubot . Off World will be released in three volumes, with the first one seeing the light of day through Constellation this Autumn. We can already get a taste of what’s on offer with the incredible first single ‘Wonder Farm’, a collaboration with Drew Brown and Susumu Mukai.
Fresh off the back of their mind-blowing new album Monographic, and a European tour, The Oscillation have unveiled a video to accompany the relentlessly driving and haunting lead single ‘Truth In Reverse’, clocking in at over 7 minutes. The video was made by Julian Hand. Check it out now.
Monographic will be re-pressed next month as a limited edition clear red vinyl and pre-order is now available on The Oscillation’s bandcamp.
After last year’s excellent single ‘Lay Low’, we’ve been eagerly waiting for news of a new album from London based 9-piece Perhaps Contraption and they’ve finally announced its release. Mud Belief is due out on June 3rd via Grabby Claw. Infused with diverse styles and references from each of the nine members, the upcoming effort draws influences from post-minimalism, jazz, contemporary classical, and avant-rock. For a taste of what they’ll be throwing at us, Perhaps Contraption have shared the effervescent and exuberant ‘Droplets / Molecules’ and it comes with a fabulous fitting video. The troupe’s artistic director and piccolo/flute player Christo Squier had this to say about the track:
“Droplets/Molecules condenses the troupe’s love for post-minimalism, progressive rock and science, into a detailed, brass-fuelled flurry. Shot entirely on GoPros, it shows what it’s like to ‘ride’ upon our instruments.
The lyrics evoke fascination on a molecular and subatomic level – the ever-shifting discoveries being made about the smallest building blocks of matter. We wanted the musicality, particularly the woodwind at the end, to reflect that somehow.”

Perhaps Contraption are celebrating the release of Mud Belief with a launch show at London’s Rich Mix on May 12th. The troupe is also reportedly plotting a London street tour that will include spontaneous performances in unusual public spaces around the city.
