With a career spanning more than two decades, celebrated British composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer Danny Mulhern has amassed a portfolio of award winning film and tv soundtrack work, solo releases and a long standing collaboration with the London Contemporary Orchestra. This month he is set to step in the spotlight again with the release of his fifth album, Singing Through Others, a beautiful sonic triumph effortlessly marrying contemporary classical music with elements of ambient and electronic. We’re over the moon to unveil his sublime mix giving a thumbs up to some of the artists that have inspired him.

Originally from New York, and now based in Nashville, Tennessee, Rob Burger is one of the most creative forces on today’s music scene. Throughout the last two decades, as an incredibly talented multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger, Burger has amassed a body of work that encompasses film scores, founding chamber music collective Tin Hat Trio and various collaborations with artists like John Zorn, Laurie Anderson, Elvis Costello, Rufus Wainwright, Lou Reed, Lucinda Williams, Beth Orton and Iron & Wine, amongst many others. Burger has also made his name as a gifted solo artist and with his sublime new album, Marching With Feathers, arriving later this month, we are stoked to have him put together this beautiful and enthralling mix exploring the myriad influences at play in his music. Mixtape #100

We’re beyond excited to celebrate our 100th mixtape with one of our favourite bands: Forma. Formed in Brooklyn in 2010, the band brings together three extraordinary instrumentalists, Mark Dwinell, George Bennett and John Also Bennett, who perfectly complement each other. The trio released the transcending Semblance, their fourth album, last summer, following 2016’s Physicalist, one of our highlights of the year and the first to feature acoustic instrumentation alongside a multitude of modular and vintage synthesizers. Forma have provided us with an utterly sublime selection of music mixing together tracks from the likes of Arica, Maria Monti, Harumi Hosono, Eli Keszler and many more. Dive in below.

The Berlin based duo Oy, made up of Swiss-Ghanian multi-instrumentalist Joy Frempong and drummer / producer Lleluja-Ha, are a treat of a band and we've been hooked on their sounds ever since we first heard them. Oy offer a rich and intoxicating blend of music genres, from electronic and soul to jazz and African music, laced with Joy's engaging and quirky storytelling. So we've asked them to take us on an tour of the sounds that have inspired them and the resulting mixtape below is further evidence of just how versatile they are with genres.
