Last summer, Florence based four-piece The Vickers allured us with the single ‘She’s Lost’. They are doing it again with their brand new trippy video for the second single ‘I Don’t Know What It Is’. Both singles will be featured in their full-length album, Ghosts, due out in March 2014. We’ll keep our ears peeled for more on this.

Watch Littlebow perform an extended version of ‘The Pin Point Night’

Keiron Phelan and Katie English of London based duo Littlebow, doubled up on woodwind inviting Deborah Fether and Anne Garner to perform an extended flute version of ‘The Pin Point Night’. The song is taken from their second album Pi Magpie, released earlier this year through Second Language. Mogwai unveil video for new single from upcoming album Rave Tapes

Mogwai - The Lord is Out of Control

Scottish post rock quintet Mogwai are set to release their eight studio album in January. Entitled Rave Tapes, the effort was created this past summer in Mogwai’s Castle Of Doom studio in Glasgow. The album arrives on January 20th in the Europe via the band’s own Rock Action and the following day in North America via Sub Pop.

The issued press release describes Rave Tapes as “a lustrous collection mined from the same quarry as its predecessors, wreathed in painterly textures underpinned by increasingly electronic beats”.

Ahead of the release, Mogwai have just shared a new track from the album, ‘The Lord is Out of Control’. It comes with an accompanying video directed by Antony Crook and shot on location in Hawaii. Here it is.

Jupiter-C release new video for ‘Terminal’

Earlier this week, retro-futurist sound makers Jupiter-C released their double A-side single ‘Terminal’ / ‘Testing Ground’. Coinciding with the release, A.Eastwood & D. Kane, who make up the London based duo, are offering a video to accompany the single ‘Terminal’. Watch it now.

Doomsquad unleash video for new single ‘Ovoo’

Kalaboogie, the debut album from Montreal and Toronto based outfit Doomsquad, will see the light of day in February via Hand Drawn Dracula and No Pain In Pop. Ahead of it, the dark new age trio, made up of siblings Allie, Jaclyn and Trevor Blumas, are getting us excited about it with the release of their new single ‘Ovoo / The Cools’. ‘Ovoo’ is an hypnotic and eerie cut being offered with an accompanying video, directed by Chris Boni.
In other related news, Doomsquad kick off a European mini-tour tomorrow November 28th in Berlin at Urban Spree. The tour also includes stops in Paris and Amsterdam and a final show in London on December 5th at the Old Blue Last.
